Yes. Tryouts are the only way to get on an ACP team. They're a great opportunity to test yourself, have fun, and potentially earn a spot on an ACP club team.

Come prepared with the basics to have a safe and fun experience:
Two shirts (one Black, one white)
Turf shoes
Water
Shin pads
Gloves (If goalie)
Cleats are okay, but not recommended for thin turf surfaces.

Tryout locations can vary. Every upcoming session is announced via WhatsApp after you register and get invited.

We evaluate tryout participants one session at a time. If team managers find your skill, fitness, and attitude fit for the club, you’ll be invited back for future sessions.

Team managers prefer players who exhibit consistency in skill, fitness, and most importantly positive attitude. If you're re-invited, it means we're taking a closer look at you for a potential spot.

You will receive upcoming tryout invitations with date, time, and location through our official WhatsApp group after you register.

If we haven't reached out to you yet, it means there are no open tryouts at the moment. As soon as a new round opens up, we'll send an invitation through WhatsApp.

We can't guarantee future availability because we hold tryout sessions on a need-basis, every preseason. We recommend attending multiple tryout sessions to get a feel for the club and give team managers enough opportunities to evaluate your contribution.

Tryout sessions happen throughout the year in pre-season periods. There’s at least 4 tryout sessions every pre-season. So there are multiple opportunities to shine and join the club.

Depending on availability, we invite a limited number of tryouts to each session.

ACP is home to 8 teams. Each team roster is evaluated each season. Various roster spots per team can become available depending on managers’ tactical and technical needs.

All ACP teams are competitive, but they play across four increasingly challenging divisions in the Los Angeles Municipal Soccer League:
Super Metro (Unforgiving)
Metro (Grueling)
Major (Intense)
Minor (Challenging)
