Who Should Try Out?

We’re looking for players who want:
Organized league play
Competitive weekly matches
A real team structure
Consistent attendance
Strong fitness and effort
Positive attitude and club-first mentality

What Level Is ACP?
All ACP teams are competitive. In LA Municipal League, ACP teams compete across several divisions, including:
Super Metro
Metro
Major
Minor
Some teams are highly competitive and demanding. Others are still organized, serious, and competitive, but better suited for players looking for an intermediate or age-group environment.
The goal is to place the right players in the right team context. Learn more
How Tryouts Work
Tryouts are the only way to join an ACP team.
After registration, invited players receive session details through ACP’s official communication channels. Most tryout sessions are held on Wednesday evenings, usually with check-in around 7:30 PM at Whitsett Soccer Field in North Hollywood. Some scrimmage sessions may take place on Sundays at Mar Vista Soccer Field.
Exact session details are shared after signup and invitation.
Players should come ready to compete, move, communicate, and show how they fit into a team environment.
What to Bring
Bring the basics:
One black shirt
One white shirt
Turf shoes (Because studs slip)
Water
Shin pads
Cleats are allowed, but turf shoes are recommended for thinner turf surfaces.
What Managers Are Evaluating
ACP managers evaluate players one session at a time. Selection is based on more than talent. Managers are looking for:
Skill
Fitness
Tactical understanding
Consistency
Communication
Effort
Positive attitude
If you’re invited back, it means managers are taking a closer look at you for a potential roster spot. Learn more
Session Pass Required After Invitation
All invited tryout players must buy a $15 Tryout Session Pass to secure their spot for any given session.
The Pass covers the session administrative costs, field rental and permit fees. Players should only get the session pass after receiving an invitation.
Why sign up Now?
LA Municipal League starts in early August, so this tryout window is the main opportunity to be evaluated before the upcoming season begins.
Roster spots vary by team, position, league level, and manager needs. Attending multiple sessions gives managers more chances to evaluate your level, fit, and consistency.
This is not pickup. If you want to play high-level recreational soccer in Los Angeles with structure, competition, and club standards, register for ACP Summer Tryouts.
Spots are limited. Register first, wait for an invitation, secure your session pass, then show up ready to play.
